Jaffa Cake gets a 100 rating after three well-beaten runs in novices. Altered tactics last time when he made the running suggested there was better to come and we hope that will begin with an improved effort here.

Jaffa Cake shaped nicely when 2nd first time in a bumper last season but two runs in novice hurdles haven't been as encouraging. Apart from the first two in the betting it looks an ordinary race. I'll be happy if he makes the frame.

Jaffa Cake had a similar profile in bumpers to our other horse in this, a 2nd place followed by a disappointing run. He's had a first outing over hurdles, finishing in the middle and would need to progress a fair amount to trouble the market leaders.
