Who is Tony Stafford?
Tony Stafford is the From The Stables Editor-In-Chief. He’s the former Racing Editor for the Daily Telegraph and was also Racing Manager for top owner Raymond Tooth. He’s a well known figure in the press room up and down the country and it’s his responsibility to speak to all of our trainers on a daily basis.
Is the information genuine?
Yes this is 100% genuine. Tony speaks to all of the trainers personally and on the rare occasions that’s not possible he either speaks to a trainer’s representative instead or the trainers send the quotes over themselves in some instances. The quotes are often passed on word for word, straight from the trainers’ mouths, or sometimes Tony will condense a conversation into a short paragraph to give a summary of how the trainer feels about the horse’s chances.
How do I know this isn't a scam?
There are sadly many scam artists in this industry. Fortunately, with our Editor being a well respected figure in the industry, most people instantly know that this is a genuine and helpful service. The fact that ITV Racing and Sky Sports Racing’s Luke Harvey has interviewed Tony about the service is further proof that FromTheStables is 100% trustworthy. Tony does provide up to 4 daily selections, where he highlights what he thinks are the best wagers based on what the trainers have told him.
Tony’s Naps are submitted to the William Hill Naps Competition each day and FromTheStables has won this competition three times in the past, proving just how useful those selections are for members.
How is the information sent out each day?
The information is sent to members in a convenient daily email. On occasions where Tony is waiting to speak to a trainer, he will sometimes send an initial email with the majority of the daily quotes which is followed by a final email when his calls are complete.
The information can also be accessed in ‘real time’ in the members’ area on the website. Each quote is uploaded as soon as Tony receives it, allowing members to get early access to the day’s trainer information, before the emails are sent out.
What time will I receive the quotes?
The exact times the emails are sent out can vary slightly from day to day but it is usually sent between 9am and 10am each morning.
The majority of the quotes can often be accessed a little earlier by logging in to the members’ area on the website as they appear instantly once uploaded to the system.
What other information is included as well as the quotes?
Every trainer covers all of their runners, each day. There is much more information available in each email though.
First of all, Tony supplies up to 4 selections each day, where he reads between the lines with the information he’s been provided by the trainers.
We’ve now added a selection of stats for each trainer and runner, adding an extra layer of depth to the service. These stats can help highlight better decisions by themselves but, when combined with the trainer quotes, they provide a powerful combination of information to aid much better decision making.
Finally, we also provide an indicator to show if each selection is a market mover and which way they are heading in the markets. Alongside the information above, this provides a compound effect giving members the bigger picture about each runner and race featured.
Do the trainers give out 'dead certs'?
No. There is no such thing as a dead cert in racing and anyone saying otherwise is lying. There are many services out there that advertise ‘info’ where they might use terms such as ‘dead cert’ but those services are usually scams that simply provide short prices and/or market movers to give the appearance of stable info.
In reality, trainers are far more measured than talking in terms of ‘dead certs’, knowing that however good a horse’s chance, there is still plenty that can go wrong on the day.
Having said that, if a trainer is confident about one of their horses running well, they are often not afraid to share that opinion with us and that’s resulted in many big priced winners (or places) for the service in the past.
Is this service right for me?
This depends, and you can only really find out by trying it out for yourself!
