Two in this. Vanderpoel has a progressive profile. He didn't start out the season as I expected but he's looking better and better. He's schooled well and his work has been good, so I'm expecting him to run a nice race.

Vanderpeol took a big step forward on his third chase start with an easy win at Ascot. That was against fellow novices and now he'll have to be equally good to match these experienced fencers. Hopeful he can.

Vanderpoel lines up in a trappy novice handicap chase. So far he hasn't found been able to run to his high hurdle mark over fences. Looking for an improvement here.

Vanderpoel was a remote 3rd first time over fences at Uttoxeter. He should improve for the experience, but top weight in this decent novice handicap could be tough to deal with.

Vanderpoel won his first two over hurdles for us in good style before probably running too freely in a good race at Kelso in March to end his first campaign. We've always thought of this Irish point winner as a prospective chaser and while he has a bit to find on the ratings, he should go nicely.
