What To Expect
Our trainers – yes, the actual trainers themselves – are personally contacted each day to give us the lowdown on how they feel their horses will run.
Since going live in 2010, we’ve managed to build-up the perfect relationship with our yards, so they are not afraid to give their honest thoughts and opinions.
This trainer information is emailed to members and posted in our secure, interactive members’ area, at around 10am each morning.
Each trainer is slightly different on how they talk about their horses. Some like to give a bit more background on the horse, while others just like to cut to the chase. Whilst you learn to read between the lines of what they are saying, you’ll have Tony Stafford helping you, providing what he thinks are the best selections of the day.
Our trainers have also been carefully selected and are all medium sized stables. We believe this size of yard work harder on their horses than some of the very big stables and have some very nice priced winners too!
Unlike some of the ‘big gun’ yards that might have upwards of 20 runners some days, it’s a lot easier for the slightly smaller yards to give better opinions on their horses if they only have 3 or 4 horses running for them each day.
With 18 yards, even if our trainers only have 2 runners each per day on average, that’s still 36 pieces of top quality information to take the on the bookmakers with!
TONY STAFFORD
Meet Our Editor-In-Chief
Tony has been involved in various areas of horse racing all his adult life. During that time he has been Racing Editor, Correspondent and chief tipster on the Daily Telegraph, not to mention having also won the Sporting Life NAP’s competition three times.
Since 2007, Tony has also been Racing Manager to top owner – Raymond Tooth – while it goes without saying that over the years, he’s built up solid relationships with top industry figures both in the journalism arena and also with many top yards.
Tony’s contacts and racing knowledge mean his daily selections are a ‘must-see’ on their own, and best of all are free to all FromTheStables members as part of the membership.
Tony has won the William Hill NAP’s Table multiple times relying solely on his FromTheStables daily selections – further proof that he’s one of the best tipping judges around.
Tony is great at reading between the lines when it comes to the trainers, meaning he can decipher when a trainer is perhaps being a little pessimistic with their thoughts on a particular runner, or a little too optimistic. This makes the FromTheStables tips a must have for any serious punter.

WILLIAM HILL NAPS TABLE WINNER 2018
The first of FromTheStable’s William Hill Naps Competition wins came in 2018. The William Hill Naps Competition requires participants to submit one daily tip which is settled at starting price.
FromTheStables effectively enter this competition with a handicap. All other tipsters are able to choose from every possible runner, each day. FromTheStables on the other hand, can only choose runners from our list of trainers. There are some excellent runners to choose from but it does limit the choices in this competition and on some days there might only be one runner to choose from, however good or bad its chance!
To then make a profit at SP with those tips, which is an achievement in itself, is quite amazing. To go on and win the William Hill Naps Table once is a massive achievement, and there was further success in store in the coming years…

WILLIAM HILL NAPS TABLE WINNER 2019
The 2019 William Hill Naps Table saw a dominant performance from FromTheStables. Only five tipsters could make a profit during the summer flat season competition and three of those were in single figure profits.
Comfortably top of the naps table was FromTheStables, with Tony Stafford’s naps, generated solely from FTS runners, providing a cool profit of +34.07 points. All tips being 1 point level stakes selections.

WILLIAM HILL NAPS TABLE WINNER 2021
The most recent of our William Hill Naps Competition wins came in 2021, during the jumps season competition. It was the most dominant display yet from Tony’s Nap selections, once again picked solely from our list of FTS runners, with the season’s profit figure standing at +46.26 points.
That figure once again obliterated the opposition with the next best profit figure standing at just +4.39, that result coming from ITV Racing’s paddock expert Ken Pitterson, who is also on the William Hill Radio team.
To finish with a profit figure more than 1000% bigger than the next best tipster just goes to show how profitable following the From The Stables nap can be.
