grey line
08-Nov-20   Warren Greatrex   Mahlervous   Mahlervous ran well first time back in a good race at Uttoxeter. He should come on for the run and conditions will suit so he could have each-way chances.   Was placed 2nd at 17/2
grey line
08-Nov-20   Oliver Sherwood   Seaston Spirit   Seaston Spirit had a good season over fences last winter winning three times on his favoured soft ground. There was no suitable chase available for him so he’s back over hurdles today. As he's such a good jumper of a fence, hurdles wouldn’t play to his strengths but stable claimer Kai’s 10lb allowance gives him more of a chance.   Won the race at 16/1
grey line
08-Nov-20   Oliver Sherwood   Sevarano   Sevarano finished off last season with a decent second in the EBF Final at Kempton. He was ultra-consistent with two wins in his four previous runs during the campaign. He has schooled very well at home in advance of this first run over fences. Sevarano always jumped his hurdles like a chaser, so I’m hopeful chasing could bring about more improvement.   Won the race at 2/1
grey line
08-Nov-20   Ben Pauling   Shakem Uparry   Shakem Up'Arry ran some fantastic races in the hottest novice company last season. As a result he remains a novice this year and we're giving him an easier task for this comeback. He should win this on the way to bigger things.   Won the race at 4/9
grey line
08-Nov-20   Fergal O'Brien   Gortroe Joe   Gortroe Joe didn't look straight-forward on his latest run. It is hard to imagine on what we've seen at home that he can improve enough to win today. We are hopeful he might run into a place.   Won the race at 8/1
grey line
07-Nov-20   Hughie Morrison   With Respect   I would have liked a bit more rain for With Respect who likes it really testing. I don't see why there should be any improvement in him but with luck in running he should be thereabouts at the finish.   Was placed 3rd at 9/2
grey line
07-Nov-20   Nicky Richards   Duke Of Navan   Duke Of Navan is a grand old horse who often runs well fresh. We're looking forward to a nice performance but in general our winter horses have needed their first run.   Was placed 3rd at 18/1
grey line
07-Nov-20   Fergal O'Brien   Teqany   Teqany remains in great form and has the ground back to good which is perfect for him. He probably can't win a race of this quality but we could sneak third if he goes really well, so it's best to enjoy watching him rather than betting.   Was placed 2nd at 16/1
grey line
07-Nov-20   William Knight   Broadway Diva   Broadway Diva needed her first experience. She goes nicely at home, possibly well enough to give her a chance of running into a place. Small each-way hopes.   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
grey line
07-Nov-20   Administrators NB   NB - Almazhar Garde   Charlie Longsdon has already achieved a fair bit over fences with Almazhar Garde considering he's still only a five-year-old. His Wetherby comeback run was highly satisfactory and we're expecting victory over the longer trip at Kelso, a track that should suit him.   Won the race at 11/2
grey line
07-Nov-20   Charlie Longsdon   Almazhar Garde   Almazhar Garde needed his comeback run in a very competitive race at Wetherby, going up with the leaders for a long way until tiring. He'll be fitter today and on this track and over a longer distance I'm very hopeful he'll go close.   Won the race at 11/2
grey line
07-Nov-20   Kim Bailey   El Presente   El Presente has had a cracking season so far with three wins out of four. The Badger Beer is by far the hottest race he has run in and frankly a place would be highly satisfactory.   Won the race at 11/1
grey line
07-Nov-20   Ian Williams   Sir Benedict   Sir Benedict will be far happier on this straight six furlongs than the last twice going round the bends of Chester. He'll stay and act on the ground so a live chance.   Won the race at 6/1
grey line
06-Nov-20   Fergal O'Brien   Blue Sans   Point winner Blue Sans goes very well. We are really hopeful that she is forward enough to win first time under Rules.   Won the race at 6/4
grey line
06-Nov-20   Kim Bailey   Flirtatious Girl   Flirtatious Girl is a lovely filly who was meant to run three weeks ago at Uttoxeter but was balloted out. Anyway she's here and ready to run. We like her and are hoping for a very bold showing and while she'll be green and inexperienced, so will many of the others.   Won the race at 2/1
grey line
06-Nov-20   Oliver Sherwood   Ocean Drifter   Ocean Drifter ran a blinder on his hurdles debut at Uttoxeter when second to an odds-on shot. He jumped nicely and settled well which was encouraging because he can be keen and buzzy at home. He took that race in his stride and is much more relaxed now at home. He has a great chance today of going one better.   Won the race at 10/11
grey line
05-Nov-20   Fergal O'Brien   Project Mars   Project Mars will love the ground today. He is in cracking order following a solid debut over an inadequate trip. He should find today's distance more suitable and will be right in the shake-up.   Was placed 3rd at 100/30
grey line
05-Nov-20   Ben Pauling   Pencreek   Pencreek had a couple of bumper runs for Willie Mullins in the summer of last year before joining us. He's had a long while off - he had a bit of a tweak in a leg - but he's ready to run now. I'm sure he'll be better for this first experience of hurdles.   Was placed 3rd at 125/1
grey line
05-Nov-20   Ian Williams   Famous Last Word   Famous Last Word was an in-and-out performer in point-to-points but is a real chasing type. He will find it tough to go along with the front-runners in this race, but we expect him to show promise for the future.   Was placed 3rd at 15/2
grey line
05-Nov-20   Charlie Mann   Will Victory   Will Victory won both her hurdle races in France and is a very nice addition to the yard. She's okay and should run well but whether she can beat the Henderson runner on these terms is another question.   Was placed 2nd at 9/1
grey line
05-Nov-20   Ben Pauling   Conceal   I think Conceal will go all right. He ran the better of his two bumpers up here last January, competitive until he got tired. He was fine on the track and will appreciate the extra distance so we're hopeful of a good run.   Was placed 2nd at 11/1
grey line
05-Nov-20   Ben Pauling   Nestor Park   Poor old Nestor. After a great start to his career it all went wrong last season although there was a little more encouragement in his last run at Doncaster. If he can get his jumping right and return to his best he would be thrown in.   Was placed 2nd at 33/1
grey line
05-Nov-20   Administrators NAP   NAP - Cool Destination   Cool Destination was surprisingly left unchanged on his old hurdles mark when making a striking chase debut at Bangor, beaten in a photo-finish by a higher-rated opponent. He carries maximum confidence from his back-in-form stable.   Won the race at 7/4
grey line
05-Nov-20   Fergal O'Brien   Cool Destination   Cool Destination made a fantastic chase debut. It may prove to have been a good thing for his handicap mark that he was beaten in a photo-finish as he has been left on his hurdles mark of 122. We think he should win today.   Won the race at 7/4
grey line
05-Nov-20   Ian Williams   Ejtilaab   Ejtilaab ran very well at Chester last time and I'm confident he'll act at Chelmsford. He should make his presence felt in this company.   Won the race at 4/1
grey line
05-Nov-20   Ben Pauling   De Barley Basket   De Barley Basklet is a very good work horse but on the track so far he's been a serial disappointment I'm afraid. We're stepping him up to a longer trip today and I'm hopeful that will bring a good deal of improvement, in which case he'll go close.   Won the race at 16/5
grey line
04-Nov-20   Ian Williams   Tanqeeb   The step up in trip brought an improved effort and a second career win for Tanqeeb last time. There is no reason why he shouldn't build on that with another good performance today.   Was placed 3rd at 7/1
grey line
04-Nov-20   Fergal O'Brien   Merry Berry   Merry Berry probably doesn't have the class to win a competitive bumper but she is incredibly tough and stays well. If Paddy makes use of her stamina and experience from a forward position I think she could pick up a place.   Was placed 3rd at 5/1
grey line
04-Nov-20   Micky Hammond   Maison D'Or   Maison D'Or has been going nicely at home. He will enjoy the good ground today and as he goes well fresh he could have a decent each-way chance. However that goes, it should put him spot on next time for the Catterick race he won 12 months ago.   Was placed 2nd at 11/1
grey line
04-Nov-20   Ali Stronge   Renardeau   Renardeau is a great fun horse and he had a good year at his level last winter season. He's come down a little in the handicap but with a couple of unexposed horses to worry about he might have to be content with a place. Soon hopefully we'll find a suitable race for him at Lingfield where he goes best.   Was placed 2nd at 25/1
grey line
04-Nov-20   Administrators NAP   NAP - The Bees Knees   Max Kendick has proved a very good back-up to Paddy Brennan in the Fergal O'Brien stable, usually on horses owned by his mother, and The Bees Knees can be another, making good use of his 3lb claim. The Bees Knees has been progressive and may have been let in a little lightly on 118 in his first handicap. He certainly could not be going to Scotland with any more stable confidence.   Won the race at 5/2
grey line
04-Nov-20   Fergal O'Brien   The Bees Knees   The Bees Knees is in superb form at home and comes here after winning well last time at Newton Abbot. He looks to have been given a workable mark and we are hoping he can win off it.   Won the race at 5/2
grey line
03-Nov-20   Administrators NAP   NAP - Cornerstone Lad   Cornerstone Lad is one of our favourite horses, albeit that we've tended not to catch him right when he has run on the Flat. Prepped up for this with a recent outing around here when the Hammond team was out of form, he will have no excuses today with fitness, trip, track and above all that low handicap mark all in his favour   Won the race at 4/1
grey line
03-Nov-20   Oliver Sherwood   Jersey Bean   Jersey Bean won well at Newton Abbot, making most of the running and jumping from fence to fence. He’s been a revelation since the blinkers were fitted as they have focused his mind and sharpened up his jumping. He’s been full of confidence since that race so I'm hopeful of another bold run. Good chance.   Won the race at 11/2
grey line
03-Nov-20   Kim Bailey   Bobhopeornohope   Bobhopeornohope had good bumper form and this former Irish point winner will enjoy being over hurdles. This looks a mighty competitive division and we will probably have to settle for place chances.   Won the race at 17/2
grey line
02-Nov-20   Brian Meehan   One Small Step   One Small Step has been running well all season. The return to a mile should suit her on this surface and she can go very close under William Buick.   Was placed 3rd at 11/2
grey line
02-Nov-20   Brian Meehan   Palavecino   Palavecino has a great record around here. On latest turf form he needs to step up to match these but it's not impossible that he will.   Was placed 2nd at 11/4
grey line
02-Nov-20   Brian Meehan   Mini Milk   Mini Milk clearly loves the track and the mile suits her well. She is drawn a little wider than ideal but if Martin can get her into a good early position there's no reason why she shouldn't be very competitive again.   Was placed 2nd at 3/1
grey line
02-Nov-20   Micky Hammond   Quoteline Direct   It was great to see the horses running into form over the past few days and I wouldn't be shocked if Quoteline Direct went close. Billy Garrity thought he should have ridden him closer to the pace at Southwell the other day and I'll be encouraging P.J. to have him handy tonight. Should go well at a price.   Was placed 2nd at 8/1
grey line
02-Nov-20   Administrators NAP   NAP - Dragons Will Rise   Dragons Will Rise has been going well in recent all-weather runs and should be just as good at Wolverhampton as he is nearer home at Newcastle. The better form of Micky Hammond's horses encourages the belief that this improving gelding can go in again off his present mark.   Won the race at 4/1
