grey line
18-Apr-18   Cheltenham   Winter Lion   Ran well on ground he didn't like last time out. A very genuine horse that stays well and we are hopeful of a place today.   Won the race at 8/1
grey line
16-Apr-18   Kelso   Silver Tassie   Silver Tassie has been running consistently well, he deserves to get his head in front but has another tough ask again today. It is a slight drop in grade, hence he has top weight to carry and we are very happy with him at home and think he should be thereabouts.   Was placed 2nd at 10/1
grey line
15-Apr-18   Ffos Las   Another Emotion   Ran very well first time out after a long lay off. Step up in trip will suit and hopefully he can go one better.   Won the race at 100/30
grey line
15-Apr-18   Ffos Las   The Lion Dancer   The Lion Dancer carries a big weight but he will love the ground, has won his last two and must have a big chance of completing the hat-trick.   Won the race at 5/1
grey line
14-Apr-18   Wolverhampton   Berkshire Royal   Judged on his win earlier in the week he would have every chance. I'm a little bit concerned about the draw in a slightly stronger race, but he's come out of that race very well and if getting some luck in running he will be right there.   Won the race at 13/8
grey line
13-Apr-18   Sedgefield   Heresmynumber   Heresmynumber ran at Fakenham last week and finished a fairly decent 2nd. I am only running him again so quickly because this looks to be a very weak race and the extra trip and ground will suit. As long as last week hasn’t taken its toll, he should have a big chance in this.   Won the race at 4/1
grey line
10-Apr-18   Wolverhampton   Berkshire Royal   Berkshire Royal is well treated even on last seasons form and it looks like he's improved a little bit since then. He should be competitive, first time on this surface and track but he's been working nicely and he ought to be there or thereabouts.   Won the race at 3/1
grey line
08-Apr-18   Carlisle   Skywards Rewards   Skywards Reward is progressive and with Hugo taking 10lb off should give us a great chance. Trip and ground ideal.   Won the race at 15/8
grey line
08-Apr-18   Carlisle   My Old Gold   I do like this horse and she has been pretty consistent to date. She will like this step up in trip and should have a pretty decent chance here.   Won the race at 4/1
grey line
08-Apr-18   Carlisle   Dakota Grey   Dakota Grey is working well at home and if he runs as well has his home he would win but he has been hard to judge so probably best to think a solid each way chance. The win would then be a bonus!   Won the race at 4/1
grey line
07-Apr-18   Kempton Park   Gavlar   Gavlar is my other runner in this race and I think he is very well handicapped. He has dropped down the weights but has had a nice break and has been working really well. It’s a competitive race but he could have a pretty decent chance.   Was placed 3rd at 11/1
grey line
07-Apr-18   Kelso   Baywing   Baywing is another of mine that is in good order but he really needs to get into a rhythm from the off. If he can then he won’t be far away but it does look a very tight handicap.   Was placed 2nd at 11/2
grey line
07-Apr-18   Fakenham   Le Breuil   Le Breuil is a nice horse and I think he is well handicapped. The issue is, he is very hard to train and keep fit as there is only so much you can do with him at home. I have him as fit as I can and he will be fitter for his first run back, 3 weeks ago. I can only really hope he is prepared enough to win it now.   Won the race at 2/1
grey line
01-Apr-18   Plumpton   The Lion Dancer   The Lion Dancer won around here last time, this isn't a good race and he's got a very good chance of winning again.   Won the race at 11/10
grey line
31-Mar-18   Haydock Park   Masterplan   Masterplan would prefer better ground, it's a similar race to what he ran in last time and as long as he doesn't get bogged down in the ground he will have an e/w chance.   Was placed 3rd at 14/1
grey line
31-Mar-18   Carlisle   Derriana Spirit   I ran Derriana Spirit a bit too soon last time so I take the blame for that. She's had a nice break since, she seems in great form and she should bounce back to the form of her first two runs which would give her a good chance.   Won the race at 6/4
grey line
29-Mar-18   Wetherby   Roxyfet   Roxyfet is bouncing at home and runs the track well, sure to be in the prize money!   Was placed 3rd at 15/2
grey line
29-Mar-18   Chelmsford   Smooth Operator   Smooth Operator is new to me and I am still learning with him. His form hasn’t been great to date but I am hoping I can improve him so I expect a bit more today but not sure if he can win it.   Was placed 3rd at 22/1
grey line
29-Mar-18   Wetherby   Witness   Witness has shown bits of ability for us over both hurdles and fences. He is in good form at home and with top lady rider onboard he has to have a chance of making the frame.   Won the race at 5/1
grey line
29-Mar-18   Chelmsford   Luna Eclipse   Luna is going the right way and did it well at Kempton last time. He has come on for that run and should run another big race today.   Won the race at 15/8
grey line
29-Mar-18   Wetherby   Applaus   Applaus has been keeping better company than this, and his jockey told me at declaration he will win! Competitively handicapped and a winner of a bumper and 2 hurdles, with many place efforts he does know what good form is. With a clear round has to be in the shake up.   Won the race at 11/1
grey line
28-Mar-18   Warwick   Ocean Cove   Ocean Cove is in good form and all runs so far have been in the first 3. A bit disappointing last time but it was ran on extreme conditions!! fav looks hard to beat but hopefully we will get a place.   Was placed 2nd at 13/2
grey line
28-Mar-18   Warwick   Ceann Sibheal   Ceann Sibheal will need to raise his game today but will love the conditions. Harry gets on well with him so I am hoping he will run a nice race and make the frame.   Was placed 2nd at 15/2
grey line
26-Mar-18   Huntingdon   Indian Reel   A very quirky customer. Paddy said he wants 3 miles after he was 4th last time out at Southwell so we will learn a lot today. Handles better round no problem but has moody days so hopefully today is a going day!!!!   Was placed 2nd at 20/1
grey line
26-Mar-18   Market Rasen   On A Promise   On A Promise has had a small break and is in cracking form. He goes well fresh and I am hoping he can carry on from where he left off last year. He certainly has every chance today.   Won the race at 9/2
grey line
24-Mar-18   Newbury   Article Fifty   Article Fifty has been a little bit disappointing during his hurdling campaign but seems to have strengthened up over the year. Hoping he will show more today but the Henderson horse will be tough to beat.   Was placed 2nd at 7/1
grey line
24-Mar-18   Bangor-On-Dee   Jaleo   I think you can certainly draw a line through his last run as the ground was very deep. Much better going today so I am hoping he will run well but he has never gone this far before. If he gets the trip in a tricky looking race, he could make the frame.   Was placed 2nd at 10/1
grey line
24-Mar-18   Bangor-On-Dee   Chapel Stile   Chapel Stile is another of mine that really has wanted better ground so hasn’t had as much racing as I would have liked. He is in great form and gets his ground today so I am hoping for a better run.   Won the race at 6/1
grey line
23-Mar-18   Kempton Park   Secret Art   Secret Art tends to need his first run of the year. He has done plenty of work, is back in a 0-85 and he likes it around here so he could have an e/w chance, but it is a concern that he tends to come on for his first run back.   Was placed 3rd at 10/1
grey line
23-Mar-18   Kempton Park   Pak Choi   Pak Choi never shows a lot at home but his last two runs have been pretty good and he seems fit and healthy so fingers crossed he can go close.   Won the race at 5/6
grey line
23-Mar-18   Kempton Park   Udogo   Udogo has been disappointing since coming from Ireland and I'm just hoping the blinkers can bring about some improvement. If the blinkers work he’s well handicapped.   Won the race at 6/1
grey line
23-Mar-18   Newbury   Euxton Lane   Euxton was impressive at Fontwell last time out, he finally showed us on a racecourse what we’ve seen from him at home. He has been a work in progress, he’s a big (mentally) backward baby (he’s nearly 17hh) and we are no where near the finished article yet, so as with any of these type of horses you want to get the experience into them yet look after them for the future. Fortunately in Leighton I have a jockey that is brilliant with this type of horse. Euxton has enormous talent, he’s taken his last race really well and hopefully he can continue with his upward curve.   Won the race at 2/1
grey line
22-Mar-18   Chepstow   Kilfilum Cross   This fine big grey horse is improving with every run and on his last race he would be rated 124. So if that was to be correct then on handicap ratings he should go very close. I believe he will.   Won the race at 7/2
grey line
22-Mar-18   Chelmsford City   Kion   Kion ought to be hard to beat as long as there's nothing too special lurking in here. I see there's been money for Kevin Ryan's but Kion is above average for this time of year and I'm very hopeful he can win this.   Won the race at 6/4
grey line
22-Mar-18   Wolverhampton   Oregon Gift   Oregon Gift is in good order and will have a favourites chance today. He has the services of Silvestre and I'd like to think he will go close.   Won the race at 11/4
grey line
20-Mar-18   Wetherby   Final Choice   Didn't quite get home last time, so the drop back in trip today will suit. Is in great form at home and I think he should go close.   Won the race at 4/1
grey line
17-Mar-18   Uttoxeter   Hitherjacques Lady   Hitherjaques has had a wind operation since her last race where she pulled up quickly on heavy ground at Ascot. She was found to be displacing her soft palate, which would cut off her airway completely, so it was a genuine excuse. Hitherjaques had been placed third twice in decent mares races previous to that. She is a stunning looking mare and she will make a cracking chaser next season, she jumps her hurdles like fences. She loves this soft ground and would stay further than this but it’s a good starting point.   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
grey line
17-Mar-18   Kempton Park   Kildisart   Kildisart is in good order and will run well. He's been knocking on the door in decent handicaps and it all looks set for him to go well today.   Won the race at 5/1
grey line
17-Mar-18   Wolverhampton   Leoro   Leoro will have a good e/w chance, he's got the cheekpieces on for the first time which will help and he didn't run too badly last time out. He's come on for that last run, the step up in trip will suit and should be in the first three tonight.   Won the race at 3/1
grey line
15-Mar-18   Cheltenham   Cap Soleil   Our best chance of a winner this week. A very good mare who has only been beaten once in 6 runs. We really want more rain to make the ground wetter. I think she will go close.   Was placed 2nd at 10/1
