CASH-IN ON DAILY NAP & NB QUOTES

Former Daily Telegraph editor - Tony Stafford - deals with the day-to-day contact with the yards for us. He’s in no better place to sort the wheat from the chaff. Each day Tony, who has a wealth of racing experience, also gives FTS members his best (and second best) quotes and these have been in scintillating form of late.

==================================================================================================

HOW DOES IT WORK? All quotes are obtained during the morning (and sometimes the night before) to give members plenty of time to take advantage. The quotes are posted in a members’ area that can be accessed from any computer or mobile device...meaning you can get the FTS trainer quote info on the move!

There’s plenty to get excited about. This info really does come direct from the trainers themselves. They are contacted every day so they can pass on just how their horses are faring at home and also how they expect them to run each time they race.

We currently have 14 yards on our books...and they’re BIG NAMES too! Andrew Balding and recent Cheltenham Festival winner Ben Pauling are on-board. Members also get ‘behind the stable door’ info from the Ali Stronge, Brendan Powell, Charlie Longsdon, Charlie Mann, Fergal O'Brien, Harry Whittington, Kim Bailey, Micky Hammond, Nicky Richards, Oliver Sherwood, Warren Greatrex and William Knight yards.

Below is a small sample of the recent RED HOT info provided by the trainers:

Date   Trainer   Horse   Quote   Result
30-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Agent Basterfield   We're running back Agent Basterfield as he goes up 3lb from next week. He did well at Yarmouth and the step up in trip will probably suit him. It's just whether he handles the track.   Won the race at 6/5
30-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   I'm Available   I'm Available should have every chance. She got stuck in a muddling race last time and I think she's reasonably well handicapped. She shouldn't be at all inconvenienced by going onto the turf for the first time.   Won the race at 15/8
30-Apr-19   Ali Stronge   He's Our Star   This is the first run of the season for He's Our Star and I’m sure he will come on for the run. The trip is possibly a bit on the short side for him but it’s not a great race and with a bit of luck he could go close.   Won the race at 11/8
30-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Imperial Act   Imperial Act is still a maiden after plenty of runs, so you can't be too keen on her although she did run well there last time. She should have her chance in an ordinary if numerically-competitive race but her price is unattractive considering her overall record.   Won the race at 5/2
30-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - He's Our Star   He's Our Star had a good season in 2018 winning twice and finishing first past the post second time out only to be disqualified. Despite that he starts his 4yo season only 4lb higher than 12 months ago and can get swiftly off the mark in a modest affair./td>   Won the race at 11/8
30-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Agent Basterfield   Agent Basterfield has run two solid races already this month after a near four-month break. The step up to a mile and a half and today's small field should play to his strengths.   Won the race at 6/5
29-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Ranch Hand   Ranch Hand came with a strong late run on debut over course and distance when not especially "expected". The converse is true today and despite his penalty, he looks a safe enough NB candidate.   Won the race at 10/11
29-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Ranch Hand   Ranch Hand obviously has to deal with a penalty but it would be disappointing if he didn't win. He won well last time and is entitled to improve from that. Unless one of the unraced ones is a superstar he should go well.   Won the race at 10/11
29-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Sea Sculpture   Sea Sculpture ran well last time on his only run. In fact he rather surprised us that day, so maybe he's not the best work horse. His work has actually been okay, so while he's probably an unlikely winner, he could be placed.   Won the race at 6/1
27-Apr-19   William Knight   Unit Of Assessment   We have a couple of big outsiders up there today. Unit of Assessment has found too much daylight the last twice on the all-weather and I can't believe he's such a massive price. He goes perfectly well on turf and I think he could run into a place.   Was placed 4th at 33/1
27-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Younevercall   We have trained Younevercall specially for this race. He has had a wind op since his last race in December, is fresh and well and must have a great chance.   Won the race at 5/2
27-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Younevercall   As with the nap, this NB selection comes to Sandown as the culmination of a long-held plan. This will be his first run of the year, coinciding with a return after a wind op and Kim Bailey could hardly be more effusive about his chance. Who are we to disbelieve him?   Won the race at 5/2
26-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Beat The Bank   Beat the Bank is in great form and should go well. Fitness levels are good and we have Zwayyan in there hopefully to ensure there's a decent gallop and not a muddle of a race. He's been working well and if he brings his best form to the table they've got him to beat.   Won the race at 7/4
26-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Imada   We run two in this, Imada and Western Rules. Like most of ours today they would have preferred a bit more rain but we have to work with what we've got. Imada was disappointing last time but he didn't scope when we got him home so that was an excuse for him. He's got his chance today and should run better now we've sorted him out.   Was placed 0th at 6/1
26-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Bangkok   We think Bangkok is a high-class horse. He's been working very well at home and is in good form and deerves to be favourite. The form of the Doncaster race has worked out very well. Big chance..   Won the race at 10/11
26-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Got Away   Got Away has been running consistently of late and was unlucky at Cheltenham last time that Mister Whitaker returned to form to deny her. That was an excellent run especially as we know she wants softer ground. A lovely big mare, "Gloria" has a wonderfully laid-back attitude and plenty of ability, hopefully enough to land this Listed chase.   Was placed 3rd at 100/30
26-Apr-19   Charlie Longsdon   Treackle Tart   Treakle Tart is a nice mare who has been consistent and deserves her chance at trying to get black type. Naturally it's competitive but we hope she's up to it.   Was placed 2nd at 17/2
26-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   My Old Gold   My Old Gold is a grand filly. She's been very consistent and the last twice bumped into two very smart opponents at Kelso. First she chased home Blue Flight who went on to be fourth in the Scottish Grand National, and then Paul Nicholls' Kupatana, who bolted up in a valuable chase at Cheltenham last week. She's been a little unlucky maybe not to win another one but she'll run her usual good race and not be far away.   Won the race at 6/1
26-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Imperial Elysian   Imperial Elysian is a lovely chap who has put together some consistent runs in novices. He starts handicapping on a workable mark and could go well today. He has a good each-way chance, giving weight to nominally inferior opponents.   Was placed 4th at 14/1
26-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Pass The Gin   Pass The Gin probably wants further. She has just got to get the ball rolling so we hope she runs well in what will be a hotly-contested affair.   Was placed 3rd at 25/1
26-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Weststreet   Harry Beswick gave Weststreet the most unbelievable ride last time to get up on the line and win by a short head after four miles of Hexham. That was lovely for his owners who have had to be very patient over the last couple of seasons due to injuries. The ground and trip were perfect then and hopefully he will encounter similar conditions today. He should again be in contention and the 5lb rise is not excessive.   Won the race at 5/1
26-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   King Power   King Power is a really nice filly and I hope she'll be competitive Fitness levels are good but she's still developing physically and is not yet the filly she will be. But at the same time she's been working well enough to go close.   Was placed 2nd at 9/4
26-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Big Bad Bear   Big Bad Bear is a nice little horse. In his first two runs he probably bumped into a couple of decent horses which got him beat. Then last time he was out of position at a crucial stage and then flew home but too late. We hope he'll have better luck this time, especially as he has the same owners as My Old Gold.   Won the race at 11/2
26-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Cage Of Fear   Cage of Fear was found to have problems after his last run which had been quite eye-catching until the final two furlongs. We believe we have sorted out the problem and that he should make a good account of himself today. We are hoping for a solid run at rewarding odds.   Was placed 3rd at 14/1
26-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Lariat   Lariat is a nice horse and I've been pleased with him. Ideally we want some rain for him but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. He could run into a place all the same.   Was placed 2nd at 16/1
26-Apr-19   Ben Pauling   Legal Eyes   Legal Eyes has plenty of ability but has endured a stop-start season with lung infections and this and that. He seems well at home and at his best would go close especially if he settles. We won't mind him losing his novice status in the last week of the season as he's a chaser in the making - he jumps exceptionally well! Just hoping for a nice end to the campaign.   Was placed 2nd at 9/4
26-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   The Milan Girl   The Milan Girl ran a blinder to finish second on her debut at Uttoxeter and if as we believe she has improved from that run she must go close. The track might be a little tighter than ideal for her, but in any case she should be very competitive. She is well.   Won the race at 11/10
26-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Bluberry High   Bluberry High was very green on debut back in the summer but finished off her race very strongly. With that experience under her belt, and after a decent break to strengthen up, we are anticipating a strong performance today.   Was placed 2nd at 8/1
25-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Bigmartre   Bigmartre has had a consistent campaign without winning, but he has run in some tough races along the way. It would be nice to see him get his head in front on this final start of the season. He has dropped down to an attractive mark so hopefully will run a big race.   Won the race at 4/1
25-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Robin The Raven   This horse has not run since June when he had a fall over fences. He is a good work horse at home and in great form, but he will have to be back to his best to win this. He is certainly capable of going close.   Won the race at 7/1
25-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Paint The Dream   Paint the Dream is going the right way and ran very well last time at Wincanton. Still weak, there is lots of improvement to come with time, but an each-way chance again today.   Won the race at 4/1
25-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Amberose   I fancy Amberose a little bit. She's consistent and won nicely last time. She's in good order and might do it again today.   Was placed 2nd at 10/1
25-Apr-19   Ben Pauling   Unai   We're running two very nice horses in these bumpers but they are very competitive with horses that have won point-to-points. Unai is very capable of winning a bumper but whether it will be today is another matter.   Was placed 3rd at 7/1
25-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Kembles Cascade   Kembles Cascade is a smart gelding whom we like a lot. He is very straight-forward and while he has a couple with experience to beat, we believe he is sure to put in a big run.   Was placed 2nd at 7/2
24-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Skiddaw Valleys   Skiddaw Valleys leads off our team of five at Perth. He's run three solid races, running very well each time. The little up in trip should suit him, so it might easily be his day today.   Was placed 2nd at 11/4
24-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Captain Tommy   Captain Tommy is fresh and well after his latest win. We think he will improve again for a step up in trip in what looks a hot renewal of this race. We have no idea of his ultimate ability level yet so it will be exciting to see how he gets on here.   Was placed 2nd at 10/1
24-Apr-19   William Knight   Soto Sizzler   I hope the ground's not too fast, that would be my concern for Soto Sizzler. We'll see what the jocks say but as long as it's safe ground we'll be all right. When he won at Goodwood it was just good ground. He's come out of that fifth in the Rosebery in great form and as long as he handles the track he should run very well.   Won the race at 11/4
24-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Le Don De Vie   Le Don De Vie had good bits of form last year and we've been very happy with him at home. It looks like the Haggas horse will be tough to beat but we'll give it our best shot.   Won the race at 100/30
24-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Spirit Warning   Spirit Warning is in great form and should go well. He's on a reasonable mark, has course form and should be very competitive.   Was placed 2nd at 7/2
24-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Rose To Fame   This well-bred mare has stacks of ability and won well last time at Ludlow. She is quirky and not guaranteed to repeat her last run but if she does she should very nearly win this.   Won the race at 13/8
24-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Millarville   Millarville disappointed a little bit in the mares’ final at Newbury, when we were quite hopeful beforehand. Obviously this is much lower class and on her earlier form when she won and was second, she should take all the beating.   Won the race at 5/6
24-Apr-19   Charlie Longsdon   Old Jeroboam   Old Jeroboam delighted us last time but the problem today is he's giving weight away all round. We are taking 7lb off his back but it's always hard to win under a penalty. I think it's the right race, though, and if he goes and wins again he will have done a very very good job.   Won the race at 2/1
24-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Symphony Hall   Symphony Hall is a horse we like a lot at home. He does everything right, and hopefully will be capable of serving it up to them today.   Was placed 3rd at 4/1
24-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Skiddaw Valleys   Skiddaw Valleys has been a creditable second in his last two outings in quite strong company at the minimum trip and now looks ready to go a little further. Nicky Richards' stable remains in good form and the gelding is a confident selection to open his account..   Was placed 2nd at 11/4
24-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - Soto Sizzler   Soto Sizzler picked up a big pot at Goodwood last summer, and after a promising comeback run on the Polytrack, William Knight's four-year-old should be primed under Oisin Murphy to continue the upward curve.   Won the race at 11/4
23-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Agent Basterfield   Agent Basterfield was a little unlucky last time, trapped wide all the way and having to make his move wide at Chelmsford. He could probably be rated a little bit better than the bare result. That should give him every chance and we're pretty hopeful he'll go close.   Was placed 2nd at 5/2
23-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Manning Estate   The ground isn’t an issue and we’re 99% sure that the trip won’t be a problem either. We think he’s an improving horse but the worry is there might be something lurking under the radar - only time will tell. Whatever the case, he’s got to be bang there.   Was placed 2nd at 5/2
23-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - Agent Basterfield   Andrew Balding's Raven's Pass colt was just pipped at the post by the hard-fit Hypnos on his seasonal return at Chelmsford after racing wide all the way. He should be that much straighter today and is napped to gain his revenge on that rival.   Was placed 2nd at 5/2
23-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Manning Estate   Oliver Sherwood has been taking his time with Manning Estate but thinks him ready for this step up in trip. He meets some more-experienced opponents, but is probably the one with the most untapped potenial with the possible exception of Young Wolf. Should go very well.   Was placed 2nd at 5/2
22-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   The Kings Baby   The Harry Whittington Racing Club’s The Kings Baby has been in good form at home and she should find this a lot easier than last time. She will almost certainly improve for the step up in trip and can bounce back to form to run a big race even under top weight.   Was placed 3rd at 7/2
22-Apr-19   Charlie Mann   Sid Hoodie   Sid Hoodie would have a small chance. She has cheekpieces on today and while this might seem a bit soon to run her again, her owner lives near Fakenham, so she is going there. She should have an each-way chance I should think.   Won the race at 5/1
22-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Working Class   Working Class has won around Fakenham before. I am not sure he got the trip the other day. He will love the track and the ground, is in good order and deserves to pick up another one.   Was placed 2nd at 6/1
22-Apr-19   Charlie Longsdon   Hammersly Lake   Hammersley Lake runs for plenty of money today and there's only four runners so as long as he gets round he'll pick up a cheque. If he can win it'll be wonderful and in this small field he has to have a decent chance.   Won the race at 11/10
22-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Cosmic King   Cosmic King jumps really well, has won at this course and I think he is well handicapped. A clear round is the main objective today but we are confident he will go close.   Won the race at 9/2
22-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Lovely Job   Lovely Job has run well previously at this course. He will love the ground and although it's a tricky betting race with only four runners, we think he could win this.   Won the race at 2/1
22-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Mister Coffey   Mister Coffey is by a sire of the moment, Authorized, out of an Anabaa mare with a good pedigree. He is a rangy, scopey, athletic type and a very good mover so he will appreciate the better ground. Whatever he does in his bumper, he will improve enormously through the summer because he is still a big raw type. He ticks a lot of boxes so we are looking forward to running him.   Won the race at 8/11
22-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - The Kings Baby   The Kings Baby was never in contention last time but would have probably got fairly close bar getting badly hampered at a crucial stage. The extra half-mile should bring her very much into the argument.   Was placed 3rd at 7/2
21-Apr-19   Charlie Longsdon   Mach One   Obviously the Gary Moore horse is the one to beat but he has been beaten at odds-on before. If the race falls apart Mach One will have his chance, but although he has won on the Flat he's by no means the most straight-forward.   Was placed 3rd at 5/1
21-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Salto Chisco   Salto Chisco stayed the trip well last time out. He has his ideal ground today so we are hopeful for another big run from him.   Was placed 3rd at 7/2
21-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Escort'namix   Escort'namix was running a good race from the front last time at Haydock when unseating. Without any mishaps she should be the one to beat.   Was placed 3rd at 4/1
20-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Rux Power   Rux Power is a lovely filly but she's in a very strong race, virtually a mini Guineas trial, but we like her. Her fitness levels are good. She obviously handled the surface well at Chelmsford so she should handle Kempton all right. I hope she'll run well but it's a strong race.   Was placed 2nd at 9/2
20-Apr-19   Ben Pauling   Skidoosh   Skidoosh was quite impressive on good ground at Doncaster, staying the three miles well and the follow-up attempt at Newbury probably came too soon and the going was soft enough. He's had a nice break since and the conditions should be in his favour now. Should go very well.   Was placed 2nd at 13/2
20-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Troubled Soul   This is not necessarily the right race for Troubled Soul. We are trying first-time headgear and hope she may sneak a place. At least she gets plenty of weight all round.   Was placed 2nd at 11/2
20-Apr-19   Micky Hammond   Connective   Connective is a quality individual and a very nice prospect. Unfortunately we don’t know anything about the other three runners!   Won the race at 5/2
20-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Dream Catching   Dream Catching is a smashing horse and I think he's improved a bit from last year so should be very competitive. He's won at the track before so should go well.   Was placed 2nd at 4/1
20-Apr-19   William Knight   N Over J   N Over J has his first run of the year on a track that should prove suitable as he has performed well at Epsom in the past. One negative could be the ground - his one win to date came on soft going at Salisbury. He has been working well at home.   Was placed 3rd at 11/2
18-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Yeavering Belle   She ran a blinder first time when winning at Warwick. You can forget her last run as the ground at Southwell was too soft for her. She has place chances here on her Warwick form.   Was placed 3rd at 9/1
17-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Got Away   Got Away has finally managed to achieve some consistency in her last three runs. She's a mare who has always had plenty of ability but her initial scant regard for fences and issues with her feet early this season held her back. She would ideally prefer softer ground - 2m4f to 2m6f on soft or 3m on good are ideal - but as she’s had relatively little racing this season, as long as it’s safe she will take her chance. A laid- back horse, almost horizontal hence the cheek pieces!, she also retains the tongue tie which she has worn the last twice.   Was placed 2nd at 14/1
17-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Bob Mahler   Bob Mahler won in very good fashion last time at Newbury. Today's trip and ground will suit and another positive ride should show him in his best light. We fancy him to follow up.   Won the race at 6/1
17-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Rocky's Treasure   Rocky's Treasure has had a great season but the downside is that he has been on the go for a long time. He looks and seems well enough in himself and on his best form he should go close. I do worry, though, that it might be one run too many and the holidays beckon.   Was placed 2nd at 9/2
17-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Seasearch   Seasearch loves the track and stays every yard of the trip. He is pretty consistent and must have a good chance in this company.   Was placed 3rd at 11/2
16-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Ask Dillon   Ask Dillon did not quite run up to expectations at Cheltenham but is one of three obvious contenders in this very tight conest. The Paul Nicholls runner is the likely favourite as the one without a penalty but Ask Dillon won't be far away and has strong each-way claims.   Won the race at 2/1
16-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Shine So Bright   Shine So Bright is in great form and has done plenty of work. He might just be a sprinter that's my only concern. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on over seven but 'm sure he'll be very competitive. As long as he lasts home he's got every chance.   Won the race at 5/2
16-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Sandhurst Lad   Sandhurst Lad ran very well last time and the step up in trip will play to his strengths. He should go close.   Was placed 2nd at 7/1
16-Apr-19   William Knight   Seinesational   Seinesational might just need it up there today. Saying that it's not the strongest of races so he might just run into a place, maybe even second.   Won the race at 11/4
16-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - Shine So Bright   Placed third in all three of the Richmond, Gimcrack and Mill Reef Stakes last year, Shine So Bright has excellent form credentials as he steps up a furlong. The Andrew Balding stable could hardly be in better form and he gets a confident nap vote.   Won the race at 5/2
16-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Ask Dillon   Ask Dillon, although an outsider, was quietly fancied for his Chestenham Festival assignment. That high opinion should be borne out in these easier waters and the Fergal O'Brien team remains in good form.   Won the race at 2/1
15-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Glinger Flame   Glinger Flame won very well the other day when the cheek-pieces obviously helped. He seemed to like the Hexham track, so this novice under a penalty should be ideal. Hopefully he is the one to beat.   Won the race at 1/2
14-Apr-19   Charlie Longsdon   Western Miller   We're whacking the cheekpieces on Western Miller at Stratford hoping that will sharpen up his jumping as he's been disappointing lately. His only win so far over fences was at Stratford 18 months ago.   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
14-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Salto Chisco   Salto Chisco has had the winter off and apart from refusing to let go of his hairy coat he is in really good form. He is bound to need this first run back. He had a good season last time without getting his head in front but the handicapper has not been helpful so we need to consider other options including going up in trip. He’s a popular horse and we are looking forward to starting off his new summer campaign today.   Was placed 2nd at 6/1
14-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Brummie Boys   Brummie Boys, a son of Flemensfirth, is a big weak baby but we like him. He just wants a spin round the field on debut in quite a decent contest. It will be interesting to see how he goes.   Was placed 3rd at 14/1
13-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Dandy Dan   Dandy Dan has had a wonderful season winning his last three chases, taking advantage of meeting very few opponents. Today he takes on more than in those three put together! On the plus side he remains in good form at home and first-time cheekpieces will be an additional help. It's a tough enough race but we are hopeful he will go close.   Was placed 2nd at 7/2
13-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Fox Chairman   Fox Chairman is first time out. He goes all right, certainly well enough to play a part and the ground should not be a problem, but then it is first time   Won the race at 15/8
13-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Mahlervous   Mahlervous ran a very positive race last time to follow up his earlier win. The cheekpieces helped with his concentration as we had hoped that day. He always runs his race and it will be great if he can make the frame once again.   Won the race at 10/1
13-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Raise You   Raise You's got an obvious chance. His form over the track last autumn has worked out well. Fitness levels are good and the ground won't be a problem so he should go close.   Won the race at 10/11
13-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Court Dreaming   Court Dreaming runs in the boys' race. He's a decent little horse and is in grand fettle and progressing well. We gave him a little midwinter break after his easy win at Kelso under Danny, who is on him today. We're back again now and hope he'll run a good race.   Was placed 3rd at 5/1
13-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Sunny Express   Sunny Express is a lovely Jeremy gelding making his debut in what is always a very hot bumper. He has been doing everything right at home so despite the level of competition we expect a positive performance from him.   Was placed 3rd at 11/2
13-Apr-19   Ben Pauling   Chess Player   Chess Player who runs in the bumper goes exceptionally well. He's a very nice little horse - you wouldn't necessarily look at him and say "wow!" - but even though this is a very strong bumper, I expect him to go very well.   Was placed 2nd at 11/4
13-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - Chess Player   It is hard to understate the confidence behind debutant Chess Player in the Ben Pauling yard and with a recent Chepstow bumper winner to compare him with, it is probably understandable. A son of the emerging French stallion No Risk at All, he is an interesting proposition for the nap in what looks an Ayr bumper well up to standard.   Was placed 2nd at 11/4
13-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Takingrisks   Old Takingrisks is very well in himself as he showed with his easy win at Carlisle. He has a bit of form on good ground and will stay the trip well. Hopefully he'll get a good run round and we'll hope for the best.   Won the race at 25/1
12-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - Happy Power   Andrew Balding could hardly have expected less than a 10lb hike in Happy Power's rating after his last two runs as a juvenile. First he ran a close third to the filly East, who went on to run second at the Breeders' Cup. Then he easily won a competitive nursery at Doncaster. With the stable's three-year-olds in such great form, he warrants nap support at his local track.   Won the race at 9/4
12-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Happy Power   Happy Power is up 10lb from his last win but he's a fair animal and should be capable of being very competitive off 93. Fitness levels are good and the ground will not be a problem, he should go well.   Won the race at 9/4
12-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Dashing Willoughby   Dashing Willoughby is a handy horse. He will stay further in time but fitness levels are good. I think he's more than capable of running into a place.   Was placed 2nd at 12/1
12-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Printing Dollars   We possibly ran back Printing Dollars a little too quickly at Warwick after her previous impressive win at Exeter. Also the softer ground and extended trip might both have contributed to the disappointment. She has been in good form at home since Warwick and we would like to think she will go close again here.   Was placed 2nd at 8/1
12-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Sneaky Peek   Sneaky Peak is first time out but I like the way she goes. She'll cope with the ground all right and has each way prospects as well.   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
11-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Bye Bye Hong Kong   Bye Bye Hong Kong has strong form from last year. It's a competitive race and in terms of ability he should be right there but he's always had a tendency to overrace. If he settles he should get the mile well and run well.   Won the race at 7/2
11-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Trio For Rio   We think we can put a line through his last performance which was far below the level of all his previous runs. Trio For Rio has been in great order at home and we are confident that he can return to winning ways.   Won the race at 10/11
11-Apr-19   Micky Hammond   Go To Court   Go To Court, who won at the fourth time of asking in Irish points back in January, is shaping up well at home. He is by no means the finished article so we will watch and learn plenty about this nice prospect today.   Was placed 3rd at 16/1
11-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Alfie Corbitt   I have to say this horse has been hugely disappointing. A former Irish points winner, he really has not shown on the racecourse what he is capable of at home. A wind op since his latest run might be the key to unlocking that hidden potential. If it does help he must have a great chance of being placed or even better!   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
11-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Imperial Act   Imperial Act is a 12-race maiden with a 45 rating. It's hard to be confident although this is a very low-quality race and she has the ability to go close At the same time I'm not saying she's worth backing.   Was placed 2nd at 100/30
10-Apr-19   Charlie Mann   Top Up The Fashion   Top Up The Fashion will have a little each-way chance. He's a bit green right now though and will be a better horse next year.   Was placed 2nd at 6/1
10-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Cool Destination   Cool Destination has run two solid races and we expect him to put in a similar performance today. Even if he does, though, that would still probably not be good enough for him to get involved in the finish in this company.   Was placed 2nd at 12/1
10-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Djin Conti   Djin Conti has been running very consistently over trips similar to today's since going over fences last month. We are very hopeful that we will get another big performance from him.   Won the race at 4/1
10-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Book Of Gold   Book Of Gold has been very disappointing and we can’t work out why. Perhaps we’re clutching at straws by putting a tongue strap on. If he could reproduce his best efforts from last year he’d pick this lot up and eat them, but on the evidence of recent form it's very much a case of look and learn.   Was placed 3rd at 11/1
10-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Djin Conti   Djin Conti has made a good start to his chase career and can get back on the winning thread in a close contest.   Won the race at 4/1
9-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Bailarico   Bailarico is reverting to the Flat after a successful hurdling campaign which followed his five wins in a row in his unbeaten spell last summer on the level. This will be his first run since a soft palate op which should bring about further impovement. I would be surprised if he doesn't go close.   Was placed 3rd at 11/4
9-Apr-19   Charlie Longsdon   Cardigan Bay   Cardigan Bay begins handicapping on a reasonable mark after three promising runs in decent novice hurdles. It is never easy to give weight away all round in a big field like today's but her overall form is the best in the line-up so she should go close.   Won the race at 15/2
8-Apr-19   Nicky Richards   Cultram Abbey   Cultram Abbey's a grand old horse. His laat two runs haven't been that great though but he's in good old order. I don't know, the handicapper stuck him up for winning at Kelso and he's paid the price a little really. I think he'll run all right, he'll run a decent race.   Won the race at 14/1
7-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Shaughnessy   Shaughnessy has been disappointing and has had a few issues, nothing serious, but that's why he hasn’t run for more than three months. He will love the track and ground, and I expect him to go close even with top weight as he is a big, strong horse. I will be disappointed if he is not bang there.   Was placed 3rd at 9/4
7-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Zanzi Win   Zanzi Win put in an improved display on his fourth run over hurdles, finishing runner-up at Hereford. That was a solid run and I think going back to a left-hand track today will suit him better. This race offers him a good chance of a first UK win.   Won the race at 8/11
7-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Newtide   Newtide is relatively unexposed compared with most of these. He may have just needed last month's run at Warwick which came ten weeks after his previous creditable third at Ascot. He didn't quite get home at Warwick but three miles on soft ground around here should be ideal.   Won the race at 7/2
7-Apr-19   Ali Stronge   Hepburn   Hepburn isn't a superstar, she's only low level but she has been running consistently. We're going to Ffos Las for the slower ground as she doesn't do anything too quickly. I should think the groud will be drying out from now on so it would be nice if she could run another consistent race. I'm not sure she'll win but a good run would be a positive note on which to end her season.   Was placed 3rd at 7/1
7-Apr-19   Ali Stronge   Hepburn   Hepburn isn't a superstar, she's only low level but she has been running consistently. We're going to Ffos Las for the slower ground as she doesn't do anything too quickly. I should think the groud will be drying out from now on so it would be nice if she could run another consistent race. I'm not sure she'll win but a good run would be a positive note on which to end her season.   Was placed 3rd at 7/1
7-Apr-19   Administrators NAP   NAP - Zanzi Win   Harry Whittington has been bringing Zanzi Win along steadily and he looks to have found a winning opportunity here for this formerly useful French Flat-race handicapper.   Won the race at 8/11
7-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Shaughnessy   It is never easy to concede weight on soft ground in handicaps but Shaughnessy is built to manage that. He returns from a break, caused according to trainer Oliver Sherwood by "some minor issues" with excellent prospects of a second win of the season.   Was placed 3rd at 9/4
6-Apr-19   Micky Hammond   Ex Selance   Ex Selance has been disappointing and consequently has tumbled down the weights. He needs to start showing something to prove his worth. This is not a strong race despite the number of runners and we hope he can at least bring home some prizemoney.   Won the race at 3/1
6-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Keeper Hill   Keeper Hill will be one of the outsiders but on his best form he is by no means a no-hoper and he could bustle up a few in this race.   Was placed 3rd at 25/1
6-Apr-19   Ali Stronge   Drewmain Legend   Drewmain Legend won here at this time of year 12 months ago but has been a bit disappointing this season. We are hoping the ground is soft enough to bring out a bit of a revival in form, so we will see how we get on.   Won the race at 7/1
6-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Khage   The track suited him well last time when he made all in great style. He has come out of the race in good shape and we believe he can continue to progress with racing.   Won the race at 4/5
6-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Pond Road   This lovely chesnut horse is slowly learning the game. Hitherto he has not been the best of jumpers and this race will be another chance to learn all about racing and jumping at speed. I know we had a 33/1 shot finish second last weekend but we are not expecting this horse to do the same.   Was placed 3rd at 16/1
6-Apr-19   Ben Pauling   Kildisart   Kildisart is in very good order and Lostintranslation's win here yesterday is a big boost to his form. In handicap company off top weight, if he's to keep progressing as a very good horse he should be winning it.   Won the race at 8/1
6-Apr-19   Oliver Sherwood   Cilaos Glace   Cilaos Glace had shown plenty of promise in his previous runs but as he had been so keen we hadn't been able to ride him close to the pace. As a result he was staying on well from out of his ground. He has been a work in progress and all that effort was repaid last time when he was pretty impressive. Let's hope he can build on that.   Won the race at 15/8
6-Apr-19   Charlie Mann   The Lion Dancer   The Lion Dancer won his last three before his break, but has been off for a while. Therefore he will most probably need the run in the ground, but could have a small each way chance as it's not the best of races.   Was placed 3rd at 4/1
6-Apr-19   Ben Pauling   One Touch   I like One Touch very much. He has his first run today here for us and I like his chance. His fourth here in November for his previous stable behind Mac Fabulous got a real boost at Aintree yesterday.   Won the race at 7/2
5-Apr-19   Warren Greatrex   Emitom   We expect the combination of an extra half mile and testing ground to suit Emitom. He has done everything asked of him so far and we hope this step up to the top Grade will still enable him to maintain the record.   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
3-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Paint The Dream   Paint The Dream is basically a nice young mare who is still weak. In that respect she has already done well in competitive hurdles and will be a lovely chaser in the future. On her last run in a warm race at Newbury she will carry solid each-way hopes.   Was placed 2nd at 6/1
3-Apr-19   Harry Whittington   Captain Tommy   Captain Tommy took advantage of a weak contest at Fontwell to open his account. He has come out of his race really well and we are looking forward to running him again. The ground will be much less testing but we are hopeful he can follow up.   Won the race at 4/1
3-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Troubled Soul   Troubled Soul is a bit of a quirky mare and it always depends on her mood when she comes to the races how she fares. We are hopeful of her getting in the money and she certainly ran a decent race last time when switched to hurdles after a previous fall over fences.   Was placed 2nd at 10/1
3-Apr-19   Fergal O'Brien   Carrolls Milan   Carrolls Milan remains in good form after her win at Ludlow and should go close. It might be a little harder, 4lb up from Ludlow, as our conditional who claimed 7lb there isn't on board this time. Even so, she is still the one to beat.   Won the race at 9/4
3-Apr-19   Micky Hammond   Stormin Norman   Stormin Norman is in good form, coming back from a break and working with winners at home. He should go well at a massive price against two highly-touted newcomers.   Won the race at 12/1
2-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Blood Eagle   Blood Eagle has improved for his last run. Obviously he's got the favourite to beat but he's in good form and should go well.   Won the race at 5/2
2-Apr-19   Administrators NB   NB - Blood Eagle   In what looks a virtual match, Blood Eagle has the Michael Bell-trained Eagles By Day to beat. Both horses are by Sea the Stars, but Andrew Balding's candidate has more recent form - his rival has been off since his sole run almost six months ago - and can make the most of his possible fitness advantage.   Won the race at 5/2
1-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Cresswell Legend   This horse deserves to win this and with a late non-runner, he has only two to beat. He had a wind op after his last disappointing run and on the balance of his form must have a serious chance.   Won the race at 5/6
1-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Simoon   Simoon has a good chance. He's reasonably well handicapped. We didn't have him last year, but his work's been good, fitness levels good. He should go well.   Won the race at 5/4
1-Apr-19   Andrew Balding   Agent Basterfield   The step up in trip will suit Agent Basterfield on his first run in a handicap. He should go very well in this company.   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
1-Apr-19   Kim Bailey   Rose To Fame   Rose To Fame has the ability to run well in this. Overall her bumper form was pretty good and she probably did not stay the longer trip at Huntingdon first time over hurdles. If in the mood she could run into a place.   Was placed 2nd at 5/1
